meet team frisco
"We began raising puppies for Canine Partners of the Rockies in 2001, when my two boys were in elementary school. Each would bring the pup to school once a week and all of our pups grew up surrounded by lots of friends and activities. Three of our dogs – Laramie, Rocky and Ricoh, went on to service. I own a travel company and am usually gone a good part of the year, but since travel has been curtailed due to the pandemic, I decided to jump back in and raise another puppy. I’m enjoying being back with this outstanding group, raising our 5th pup, Frisco.
Frisco is a 7-month old black lab, who had a great start with Mitch Allen. He is calm, sweet, eager to learn and a big bundle of lug-lab-love. We are actually “Team Frisco” with my husband Odell, son Jackson, his girlfriend Lindsay, my cousin Michelle and her roommate Bridget. We’re a blended family of puppy love! It’s always hard to give them up, but it fills your heart when you see them dramatically improving the quality in someone’s life. We are proud to be part of CaPR's and the great work they do. One of my favorite things about being a puppy raiser is that seeing a puppy in training ALWAYS makes people stop and smile. It makes people happy. I can still see their smiles... even through their masks."
