Canine Partners of the Rockies
Saturday Puppy Class Expanding
June 8, 2013
We now have two puppy classes on Saturday – the older dogs attend the early class followed by the “L” puppies. Today was the “L” puppies first day at the CaPR facility.
The older puppies working on loose leash walking. They worked without gentle leaders, just the flat collar today. The puppy really needs to pay attention to his/her person on the flat collar since the trainer has less control of the dog.
Isabella and Susan working on “leave”. Isa is only paying attention to Susan, not all the fun stuffed toys in the center of the room – very tempting. Good job Isa!!
The older dogs worked outside with more distractions on their flat collars.
Patti & Ingrid with Stuart & Ike watch as the “L” puppies come to class for the first time.
Susan & Isa are amazed at the cute puppies entering the classroom.
Lemon & Lucy are a bit overwhelmed by the greeting from the older dogs.
Lemon feels more secure in Puppy Raiser Lindsay’s arms.
Taylor & Lucy are ready to begin their first class.
Annie & Lark are picture perfect. Lark is Annie’s second dog to raise for Canine Partners.
It’s time to begin the younger puppy class with “peaceful puppy”.
Lincoln & Iris prepare for their first exercise.
A big thank you to our puppy raisers for the “L” litter. CaPR wouldn’t exist without all its wonderful volunteers.
There are still two “L” puppies that need a permanent puppy raiser. If you are interested, please call the office at 303-364-9040.
