MEET AMY, PUPPY RAISER OF SERVICE DOG IN TRAINING WILLOW
“Willow. AKA Weewo, Wiwi, and Weeping Willow. I adore being Willow’s puppy raiser. She has taught me so much about myself, about the students I service, and about the service dog community.
I am a School Psychologist in Denver Public Schools, and Willow has been my “right hand” lady in helping elementary-aged students who experience big emotions. She has helped students who feel overwhelmingly anxious when transitioning from classroom to classroom by walking with them to class or she will help students by role playing with those who need practice with social skills, personal space, and problem solving skills. Willow brings a calm presence to our school building.

When she is not at school, she loves going to Canine Partners of the Rockies to work with her other favorite people and see her other working dog friends. At home, her favorite activities are retrieving a ball for hours, and playing “catch me if you can” with my other dog, Jedha. She is an amazing service-dog-in-training who teaches compassion and love to all people she meets.”
