Kyle is a Wisconsin native who grew up with Labrador retrievers and has always had an affinity for animals, as evidenced by his first high school job at a veterinary clinic. He has spent the last 15 years living in Santa Fe, NM working with Assistance Dogs of the West. As the agency grew in staff, clients, volunteers and dogs, Kyle also expanded his role. Beginning as a program assistant, he quickly took on the role of Director of Operations, which then led to his current position as CFO. He has a proven track record of leadership, fundraising, and expertise in the field of service dog training. His broad responsibilities, including working with the dogs, ensuring fiscal oversight, and providing vision and decision-making for a growing agency, make Kyle an ideal fit with Canine Partners of the Rockies.
During his time in Santa Fe, Kyle became a familiar face around town, often volunteering with other nonprofits and joining groups such as the Emerging Social Sector Leaders cohort and the NexGen Philanthropic Group at the Santa Fe Community Foundation. He loves to travel, socialize with friends and family, and hike with his partner Shannon and dog DaVinci.
Kyle is very excited about living in Colorado and exploring the cities and great outdoors that it has to offer. He is also eager to continue the fantastic work that is being done by the staff, board of directors, and dogs at CaPR. Please join us in welcoming Kyle to the CaPR team.
