Volunteer With Our Future Service Dogs
Do you love dogs, and could you provide a nurturing environment for socialization and training?
We’d love to have you as a puppy raiser or sitter!
We’d love to have you as a puppy raiser or sitter!
become a Puppy raiserInterested in raising a future Service Dog for a Coloradan in need? Puppy raisers are responsible for the socialization, basic care & grooming, and the beginning/intermediate training of our service dogs. All of our dogs live with their volunteer puppy raisers, accompany them to work, run errands with them and attend weekly trainings at our facility. It is a minimum of an 8-month to 1-year commitment to become a puppy raiser. Our puppy raisers are what make our organization so successful and we'd love for you to be part of that! |
become a puppy sitterDo you want to spend time with our future service dogs but can't commit to being a puppy raiser? Lucky for you, we always need sitters to watch our dogs for days, weeks or months! Puppy sitters will attend a minimum of 2 training classes with Canine Partners' professional trainers before hosting a service dog in-training. Not only is this helpful for raisers that are going out of town and can't take their dog, it's vital in our dogs training for them to work with as many different handlers as they can during their time in our program.
