Arie

Meet Arie! Arie was whelped at Guide dogs of America and is a Labrador Retriever, she was born on December 25th, 2020.

Arie is named after Arie Taylor, the first African-American woman elected to the Colorado State House of Representatives in 1972, where she addressed a myriad of issues faced by women and the poor during her six terms in office. 

​If you are interested in raising a dog like Arie or would like to help puppy sit, consider becoming one of our much needed volunteer puppy raisers or puppy sitters by visiting our volunteer page. We raise, train, and place all of our dogs right here in Colorado so you will be able to follow your dog’s entire training and placement while making a huge impact on someone’s life.

First Litter 
Arie gave birth to her first litter in November of 2022 at Pilot Dogs in Ohio. She arrived back to us in January with three of her puppies, where they started their Service Dog training in our program. Her puppies, Cleo, Huckins and Saunders, were born in November of 2022 and are making great strides in their journey to become Service Dogs!

Second Litter
​Arie has delivered her second litter and her 6 puppies are healthy and beautiful. She gave birth right here in Colorado with our wonderful volunteer breeding team. We are very grateful to these volunteers for making it possible for us to have a litter right here at home!
