​MOLLY

Meet Molly! Molly was whelped at Guide Dogs of America and is a full Golden Retriever born on September 16th, 2021 along with her brother Stanley. She is named after philanthropist and activist Molly Brown, best known for her social welfare work on behalf of women, children and workers. You may also know her as a survivor of the 1912 Titanic disaster.

Molly Brown’s real name is Margaret Tobin but was sometimes referred to “The Unsinkable Molly Brown”. 

​Her name became known as Molly Brown because creators of the famous musical about her, made the name change because nothing rhymed with Margaret. Due to the popularity of the move, the Denver Historical Society was able to raise money to rescue the Brown’s former Denver home from demolition and turn it into an opportunity for the world to relearn Margaret’s life and accomplishments.
